PAMA's Health and Wellness of the Musician Course:
From the Classroom to Stage
Are you a clinician or music educator who wants to know more about the
intricacies of musicians and playing related problems?
The Performing Arts Medicine Education Committee is offering a Health
and Wellness half-day multidisciplinary course to further the
knowledge and skills of clinicians and music educators working with
musicians or music students.
The course will cover the associated risk factors, life-span issues,
cultural, and contextual distinctions of health problems unique to
musicians. Participants will hear research-based lectures on the
assessment and management of various music specific health issues and
further how to engage with the musician and promote education and
prevention strategies for these important playing issues.
