The 2014 program will be the exciting realization of previous
relationships and new areas of exploration in Cuban arts and
healthcare. We are adding a behind-the-scenes theater program and will
continue a number of our successful partnerships with other arts
organizations.

There will be new faces and different places in our schedule to keep
the week full of surprises and exciting activities. However, we will
look forward to seeing our old friends and professional leaders
including;

Drs. Luis Heredia, Marcelino Feal, and Carlos Llapur with the Buena
Vista Social Club
Alicia Alonzo, Prima Ballerina and Founder of the Ballet Nacional de Cuba
and the BNC medical team

Healthcare overview and clinic visit

The morning lecture/discussion programs are always a favorite. They
provide a background that makes our visits with artists more
meaningful and productive. Participant experts and Cuban colleagues
will present on health issues in a specific art in preparation for our
visit to that venue. Everyone has the opportunity to learn about the
unique challenges for artists and healthcare professionals.

In addition, we plan time for workshops/clinics with Cuban artists who
may be interested in learning more about prevention and therapy of
their art-related problems.

Of course, there will be time for meals, discussions and music that
lead to better cultural understanding. Individuals will also have time
to pursue special interests and research objectives.

APPLICATION

Every participant must complete an Application and be approved before
one is accepted for this special travel program. As well, non-U.S.
participants must complete the Program Application and be approved per
the U.S. government regulations. Early applications are encouraged so
that the review process and acknowledgement can be done with adequate
time for individuals to plan their trip and confirm arrangements.
Deadline for applications is November 25.

ESTIMATED COSTS

Until we have a final group and confirmed activities, we cannot give
firm costs. However, from past trips and expected program activities,
the following costs can be estimated:

AIR
Miami / Havana / Miami
$450 - $500 estimated roundtrip fare
Includes U.S. Departure taxes and Cuban health insurance for the
length of your stay
Charter flight costs for 2014 have not been announced.

VISA
$75 per person (not applicable for participants born in Cuba)

NOTE: Participants from outside the U.S. may make their own
arrangements for air and visa. They should arrive by Saturday,
January 25, and make their hotel reservation for Saturday night. The
group program begins on Sunday, January 26.

With accommodations at the Hotel Nacional Standard
$2,065 per person in a double room
$2,295 per person in a single room

With accommodations at the Hotel Nacional on the Executive Floor
$2,320 per person in a double room
$2,585 per person in a single room

COSTS INCLUDE:

7 nights at the historic Hotel Nacional
Transportation during the week by air conditioned bus
Bi-lingual Cuban guide
Breakfast daily
Welcome Lunch, Farewell Dinner, some other meals
Program activities and professional visits (to be confirmed)

An invoice with final costs will be sent to participants in December.
