Many people are reeling in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. They are cold,their homes have been destroyed and their world has been turned upside down. During difficult times like these, we especially appreciate the things that bring us together and that help us express our pain.
Music is one of those things.
That is what Jailine, one of our 12-year old students from New York City discovered after another natural disaster, the devastating Haiti earthquake of 2010. She wrote this uplifting song which remains as poignant today as it was on the day she wrote it:
